New Haad Rin Bookings Office

Wake Up! Wakeboarding now has a new booking office for customers down in the Haad Rin area of Koh Phangan. Customers staying in Haad Rin can make bookings at the Backpackers Information Centre. We will arrange a pick up service to our location in Chaloklum and between your time on the boat, chill out and relax at our beach bar with Sauna and Spa area, we will take you back to your resort at the end of the day. For customers around the rest of the island, you can still book directly at our office in Chaloklum or via telephone and e mail.

2010 wakeboarding season starts!

The season has started finally. Monsoon is over and the water is calm again, giving great wakeboarding conditions in Chaloklum Bay.

We start the season with all new equipment and a newly painted boat with all new interior. We have a new O’brien natural 139 wakeboard, very easy to ride and great adaptability to all styles of riding. That coupled with CWB Zeus Hinge Tech bindings for the guys and Hyperlite Eden Bindings for the girls, give great control and support for all the carving and grabs you will be doing.

It’s great to be back on the water and I look forward to seeing all the regulars again, plus meeting all our new customers for the year! Lets hope the water stays flat and clear and the weather stays fine for an awesome season this year.

Lonely Planet

Wake Up! Wakeboarding has now been recommended by the Lonely Planet. It is a big thing for us to be recognised by the biggest travel guide in circulation and it shows how far we have come in our four years of business. Much of the thanks goes to our customers, who have supported us and given good word of mouth and internet promotion that has caught the attention of the Lonely Planet. Wake Up! Wakeboarding would also like to give a big thank you to Neal Bambridge (Bambi) from Banckpackers Information Centre in Haad Rin, and Brendon from Lonely Planet.

We will continue to provide the quality service that has been recognised by the Lonely Planet and we will continue to grow and expand the business to give our customers an even better Wakeboarding experience here on Koh Phangan, Thailand.

The sport of wakeskating is increasing in popularity exponentially. This might be due to the free feeling given by riding a board without any bindings, or maybe because it gives hard core skate boarders a way to try the toughest of tricks without having to eat concrete everytime they fall.
